Hurricane Irene

August 28, 2011.  In the early hours of Sunday morning, the outer bands of Hurricane Irene passed over New Brunswick, NJ.  Most of the heavy rain and wind passed during the night, dropping over 7 inches of rain and flooding the Raritan River.  While damage in the city seemed minimal, flooding turned some of Route 18 into a river.  Take a look.
